About
I create photographic images and hand-formed works that explore time, change, and the enduring processes of the natural world. My practice moves between photography and object-making: prints on Japanese paper that are bent, shaped, or subtly set in motion.

Before dedicating myself fully to my artistic practice, I earned a PhD in legal psychology and worked as a researcher within academia and government.

On the work
After years working as a researcher, I became increasingly frustrated by the gap between what we know and what we do.

I turned toward the landscape, not as a form of escape, but as a way of placing human existence within a different scale of time and change. Here, human concerns and beliefs are set against processes that continue regardless of our presence.

My black-and-white photographic works depict a world in which the human figure is largely absent. Not as an aesthetic choice, but as a deliberate shift of attention. I treat the photographic print as a physical surface: bent, shaped, or subtly unsettled, echoing the forces that shape stone, water, and wind.

The landscape continues its own processes, indifferent to our presence.

The landscape never needed us.
