The Same as It Never Was

Two artists, two perspectives — one shifting world.

On Earth, nothing stands still. Cycles repeat — yet each return shifts the world: erosion, sedimentation, evaporation, growth. This collaboration follows that continuous movement: the same forces, yet never identical.

Audrey Buerman works with cyanotype and elements such as sand, water and sunlight, letting change register as trace.

Geralda Odinot works with black-and-white landscapes from which the human figure is absent. Through subtle physical interventions, the prints hold movement as structure — and the silence that remains when human noise recedes.

This project continues to unfold, as the works remain in dialogue across exhibitions and new contexts.

The Same as It Never Was

Twee beeldmakers, twee perspectieven — één bewegende planeet.

Op aarde staat niets stil. Natuurlijke cycli herhalen zich — en zorgen gelijkertijd voor verandering: erosie, afzetting, verdamping, groei. Deze samenwerking volgt die voortdurende beweging: dezelfde krachten, nooit identiek.

Audrey Buerman werkt met cyanotypie en elementen zoals zand, water en zonlicht, waarin verandering zichtbaar wordt als patronen.

Geralda Odinot werkt met zwart-witlandschappen waaruit de menselijke figuur afwezig is. Met subtiele fysieke ingrepen houden de prints beweging vast als structuur — en de stilte die overblijft wanneer menselijk geluid verdwijnt.

Dit project blijft zich ontvouwen, terwijl de werken in wisselende tentoonstellingen en contexten met elkaar in dialoog blijven.
